Maan Group from Raalte wins Koning Willem I Award for SMEs
Maan Group is overjoyed. The company received the Koning Willem I Award for SMEs from Her Majesty Queen Maxima on the 23rd of May.
RAALTE / GRONINGEN – In mid-March, 24 companies from all over the Netherlands were nominated for the prestigious entrepreneurial award. Including 12 companies in the category of SME. In addition, there is a Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship. On Monday 23 May the prizes were presented in Het Forum in Groningen, from the hands of none other than Her Majesty Queen Maxima. The Koning Willem I Award is a reward for companies that excel in daring, vigour, sustainability, persistence and innovation, and thus strengthen the economic climate in the Netherlands.
On 11 May, it was announced that Maan Group was among the three finalists. An exciting week followed. The relief is enormous’, says André Jansen, founder of Maan Group.
This victory is truly the crowning glory of Maan’s 25 years of existence. But above all, it is recognition of the sustainable, cross-over innovations that we bring about. It emphasises the necessity of this and strengthens us in our ambition to continue this line. There is still so much profit to be made in this area. We want to achieve so much more. This award motivates us enormously! By winning, Maan leaves behind formidable opponents FibreMax from Joure and Bakkerij van Vessem from Haarlem.
