Growcoon® wins innovation award at Le Salon du Vegetal!
Growcoon® is gaining ground (and conquering hearts). It was recently announced that the innovative growth and seed plug holder won a prize at the “Concours Innovert”. This beautiful award will be presented in September at the greenest fair in France ‘Le Salon du Vegetal’. It’s a wonderful recognition for a product that more and more growers are using to improve, accelerate and make their crops more sustainable.
Growcoon® was awarded in the category: “Products and services for plant sale and use. Why was it awarded? Because of its sustainable contribution to horticulture and arboriculture (the plug holder is completely biodegradable). This makes the product more relevant than ever. Growcoon® is used in the first growing phase of a plant, to protect and support the root ball. It is perfectly applicable in an automated (trans)planting process. Growcoon® has undergone a great development in recent years: what started as an innovative start-up has become a product that has a clear market position. EcoCert
The decomposition process is based on various micro-organisms. Over time (from 6 weeks to several months) the Growcoon® is completely converted into water and CO2. This results in zero waste. This decomposition process has been mapped by TÜV, the international technical inspection association, and resulted in obtaining the OK Soil and OK Compost certificate. Growcoon® is also listed by EcoCert. And thus carries the approval for use in organic cultivation (e.g. in France and the Netherlands).
Le Salon du Vegetal
Le Salon du Vegetal is a leading fair that has returned to its home base in Angers after years of absence. On 13, 14 and 15 September, the French and international plant world meet here to exchange knowledge, network, and gain inspiration.
